CKW Digital Solutions Becomes Part of T&N
CKW has sold its Digital Solutions business unit to T&N Telekom & Netzwerk AG, a member of Germany's WTG Group. Following the transaction, CKW will focus on its core businesses of energy supply and building technology.
The divested unit comprises managed services, cloud solutions, integrated communication and collaboration solutions, connectivity and IT security. For T&N, the acquisition closes a strategic gap: CKW Digital Solutions' capabilities fit directly into T&N's existing core areas and complement the shared focus on AI-driven solutions and IT security. The expertise built up over recent years will also contribute to the continued development of the wider WTG Group.
T&N is one of Switzerland's leading ICT service providers. Founded in 1996, the company employs around 180 people across eleven locations in Switzerland and Austria, developing tailored ICT solutions for business customers. T&N is part of WTG, a leading European provider of integrated enterprise solutions for IT, communications and security, with more than 500 employees in total. Existing contracts, terms and points of contact remain unchanged, and the transition will be seamless.
"We are delighted to have found a strong and reliable partner in T&N. This step secures the future of our ICT business and creates new perspectives – for customers, employees and partners," says Michael Sieber, CFO of CKW.
For T&N, too, the acquisition is more than a mere portfolio addition. By expanding its Emmen site, the company is making a clear commitment to Central Switzerland as a long-term growth region. As part of the WTG Group, T&N has a team of more than 500 experts across more than 20 locations in the DACH region – combining regional proximity with the depth of an internationally positioned group.
"We are convinced that T&N is the right home for CKW's ICT business. We are not simply acquiring a business unit – we are gaining people who work with passion for their customers. This union is the right step for employees and customers alike," says Dirk Walla, Chairman of the Board of T&N and CEO of WTG.
